ONE-DAY WORKSHOP · TWO LIVE ONLINE FOLLOW-UPS
Staff Wellbeing
Practical skills for managing pressure and supporting wellbeing at work.
Busy workloads, change and difficult interactions can affect how we feel, think and work together. When pressure persists, opportunities to recover can become harder to protect.
This practical workshop helps staff recognise their responses to stress, develop ways to regain composure and make more deliberate choices about energy, recovery and communication.
One full-day workshop, delivered face to face or live online, followed by two 90-minute live online sessions at four and eight weeks. Both follow-ups are included in the package price.
Who this workshop is for
For staff teams and organisations seeking practical ways to support wellbeing through demanding working conditions.
It is particularly relevant for people experiencing:
- Sustained workloads, competing priorities or frequent interruptions.
- Change and uncertainty.
- Emotionally demanding work or difficult conversations.
- Difficulty switching off and recovering after work.
- A need for more supportive communication within their team.
Participants work with situations relevant to their own roles. No previous experience of resilience training is needed.
What you will practise
The day combines accessible explanations of stress and resilience with guided exercises, personal reflection and small-group work.
01
Recognise and regulate your stress response
Understand how pressure can affect attention, emotions and behaviour. Practise comfortable paced breathing and a brief breathing reset for demanding moments.
02
Gain perspective and explore constructive options
Work with an everyday challenge, stepping back from immediate reactions and exploring it from different perspectives. Practise identifying useful options before choosing your next action.
03
Work with emotions and recurring worries
Use structured reflection to name feelings, clarify concerns and identify manageable next steps. Explore gratitude alongside an honest acknowledgement of difficulties.
04
Protect energy and make space for recovery
Identify what drains and restores your energy at work and outside it. Consider practical changes, boundaries and conversations that could support a more sustainable working rhythm.
05
Communicate with greater attention
Practise listening without rushing to judge or offer solutions. Explore how attentive listening can support understanding, difficult conversations and working relationships.
06
Contribute to a supportive working environment
Explore what helps people feel able to ask questions, seek support and raise concerns. Identify actions that participants and their teams can take to encourage openness and mutual respect.
What you take away
You leave with experience of practical techniques and a realistic plan for using them in everyday working life.
This includes:
- A brief breathing reset for moments of pressure.
- A method for gaining perspective on difficult situations.
- A reflective writing practice for turning concerns into constructive action.
- A clearer understanding of your energy demands and sources of recovery.
- Practical listening skills and steps towards more supportive teamwork.
You can reflect privately and choose what you share during group discussions.
Wellbeing is a shared responsibility
Individual skills can help people respond to pressure. Sustainable staff wellbeing also depends on manageable demands, appropriate resources, respectful working relationships and support from managers.
The workshop creates space to consider both personal practices and workplace conditions that need attention. Where a concern requires organisational action, the next step may be a conversation or change in working arrangements.
Support beyond the workshop
WEEK 4 · 90 MINUTES
Review and refine
Discuss your experience of using the techniques, revisit the practices and work through difficulties. Consider what is helping and what needs adjusting in your working routine.
WEEK 8 · 90 MINUTES
Consolidate and continue
Reflect on your learning, strengthen the practices you find useful and develop a realistic plan for continuing. Identify any further support or workplace conversations that would help.
Both live online sessions are included in the overall workshop package price.
